Welcome to the Strong Family Challenge! I am excited about the opportunity to dive into family devotional life that this program will afford.
On this blog, you will find a variety of ideas for your family devotional life. They are arrange based on the week and the age of the children in your family. These ideas follow along with the general topics that we discuss on Wednesday nights. There is a Bible Story for each day along with different activities that your family could try.
In designing the time that you will be planning with your family, let me encourage you to be creative and have fun. Have snacks that reinforce the day's Bible story, talk about the story through out the day, discuss the concepts during meal times, and incorporate activities that your entire family enjoys doing into the devotional time.
If the ages of your family members varies enough to make some activities more relevant and enjoyable for some children rather than for all of your children, spend time doing the activity with those who would enjoy it and then let them share what they have done with the rest of the family. Be flexible and allow the experience of spending time in God's word as a family to be fun!
Some of these ideas that follow are simple and others take more preparation. Do what will work with the time and the family that you have. The point of these ideas is not to create stress, but to help find ways to incorporate Biblical teaching into your daily lives.
I pray that God would bless your family through this experience.
In Christ,
